Committees and Volunteer Opportunities

These are a few of the committees that exist to take on the various interests of our community.  If you have another area of interest you believe the SFRA should address, don’t hesitate to contact us about it. 

Transit and Congestion Relief

The Transit and Congestion Relief committee seeks to evaluate and put forward our community’s needs in terms of traffic infrastructure, transit, pedestrian and cycling issues, etc.  If you would like to be involved in the issues surrounding transit, please use the link below to contact us.  We would love to have your help!

Parks and Playgrounds

The parks committee consists of a group of local parents who are interested in helping to guide the redevelopment of our park and play spaces as they age.  If you would like to share your opinions on anything park or playground, please contact us using the link below. 

Development

This committee keeps abreast of development plans in the Springfarm area (such as the previous Sobey’s Plaza redevelopment).  Be being aware of redevelopment plans early on, we can ensure we represent our community’s interests by consulting with the community and presenting their views to the city and the developers.  If you would like to be involved with redevelopment issues, please follow the link below to contact us. 

Communications

The communications committee is responsible for creating all our flyers, newsletters, website, etc.  We maintain the SFRA social media presence, and take care of digital and printed materials.  If you would like to help us out with anything related to communications, please let us know!
